After leaving Copenhagen we travelled to the Ribe Viking centre which was quite a treat. It was an entire village manned by university students who dressed and lived as Vikings for their summer holidays.
I was surprised to learn that Vikings were not all marauding murderers with dreadlocks but mostly farmers. Apparently to own a sword in Denmark in those days was the equivalent of owning a jet today. Archaeology also proved they were very clean and well-groomed, and I really liked their clothes.
